Shelagh and Joshua hosted a rustic wedding at the Ball's Falls Conservation area, nestled on the scenic Niagara Escarpment. The two said their vows and were pronounced husband and wife at the conservation's historic church, which boasted warm wood tones and beautiful views. The romantic celebration then moved to the conservation centre's Big Barn, an open-concept venue with twinkling lights and wooden tables that perfectly matched the vibe of the couple's rustic wedding. The newlyweds' 90 guests watched Shelagh and Joshua share their first dance to John Hiatt's “Have a Little Faith in Me” (the perfect song for a rustic wedding!) under the structure's wooden roof and munched on various delectable sweets baked entirely by the bride. "With some help, I baked everything on the dessert table with recipes from different members of our families," Shelagh explains. "The dessert table filled with sweets we had grown up with and meant things to both of us." Family and friends chatted at tables adorned with glowing tealights and floral arrangements plotted in oversized mason jars, which perfectly matched the rustic wedding's theme. The guests finished off the evening by receiving homemade peach jam as favours, a truly sweet way to end the night.
