On her wedding day online vintage boutique owner Chelsea Roshko wanted to highlight her love of antique treasures. "I wanted the wedding party to look as if they were in The Great Gatsby, Chelsea explains. "My girls wore flapper dresses and the guys wore dark grey suits with black and white polka dots."
The vintage theme was carried through in both the ceremony and reception decor as well. A distressed wooden entryway, complete with antique doors, led to an aisle lined with rows of Chiavari chairs and woodsy stumps topped with floral arrangements in Mason jars. Chelsea and husband John tied the knot beneath a distressed wooden trellis, after which a horse-drawn carriage whisked the couple away to their reception. Chelsea says this was one of her favourite moments of the day. "We could sit back and relax, see our big day from afar, and all our guests enjoying themselves," she explains.
The couple's reception, held inside an old barn, had a cozy communal vibe. Harvest tables were topped with burlap runners, candles and antique frames, giving the rustic venue a soft, romantic feel.
