Matthew, a South African, and Brittney, a Canadian, met while they were both working on the Island Princess cruise ship in 2012. "I met him the very first night I had boarded the ship and Matthew had come and introduced himself to me," explains Brittney. "We spent the whole night talking in the bar and once I was ready for bed, he offered to walk me back to my room, like a gentlemen, and he kissed my hand good night. I just couldn't wait to see him again. I was crazy about him after just meeting him! I saw him the next day and every day after that and we completely fell in love and were crazy about one another!"
The theme for the couple's wedding day was rustic and vintage yet simple and romantic. To reflect this theme they opted for a colour palette of white, cream, light Robin's egg blue, and subtle greens.
The celebration was held at a beautiful winery in South Africa called La Petite Dauphine overlooking beautiful mountains and sprawling vineyards. While the groom's home played host to the wedding, a taste of the bride's heritage was incorporated as well with sweet maple syrup favours!
