A Rustic Elegant Wedding in Port Perry, Ontario

Ian and Jessica were together for 9 years before Ian popped the question. "We got engaged the day before Christmas Eve," Jessica shares. "I was never a fan of Christmas and I believe this was Ian's way of making me love it." After dinner and watching a play at the theatre, the couple stopped in a park to admire a lit-up Christmas tree, where Ian got down on one knee.

The couple wanted to keep their theme soft for their summer wedding, but added a pop of colour to their light pink and ivory palette with dusty blue. The flowers were definitely a favourite detail, especially the hanging floral arrangement above the head table. "The flowers hung so perfectly, when you sat down and looked up you felt like you were in a fairytale," Jessica says.

One special moment came the morning of the wedding day, when Jessica opened her gift from Ian. "I had made him a memory book after our fourth or fifth year anniversary that held a collection of our favourite moments," Jessica says. "He had taken the same book I had made him and filled in the rest of the pages with all the memories we made all the years later."
