A Rustic Barn Wedding In Milton, Ontario

Kathy and Jed's love story dates back to when the two were hardly teenagers. Kathy moved away to the United States at age 13 and she and Jed lost touch. It wasn't until Kathy returned to Canada for University that the pair reconnected.

Jed popped the question at Toronto's Pearson International Airport when Kathy returned home from a six-week nursing assignment in Africa. The unique, vintage engagement ring he proposed with belonged to Kathy’s late grandmother.

Kathy and Jed's June wedding was held at a beautiful barn in Milton, Ontario. A heartfelt ceremony was followed by a barbecue dinner complete with apple pie and ice cream.

The couple paid homage to their childhood together with table numbers featuring childhood photos and a candy table filled with childhood favourites.

Kathy says one of her favourite moments of the day was dancing and eating poutine with their friends and family under the stars during a downpour. "Everyone embraced the rain and the mud that came along with it," says Kathy.
