A Rustic Backyard Wedding In Cold Lake, Alberta

Chloe and Jeremy have known each other all their lives—Chloe even listed Jeremy as one of her best friends in an old school book. Although they lost touch, they later reconnected when Chloe asked Jeremy to attend her high school graduation. The two have been inseparable since. For their wedding day, they chose to say “I do” in Chloe’s grandmother’s backyard (where Chloe’s parents were also married). The space was an ideal fit for their rustic theme and decorations. “Two days before the wedding everyone in town was helping out by chopping wood for the ceremony arch,” Chloe shares. Of all the DIY details, the couple loved their wish lantern ceremony most of all. “We lit lanterns and sent well wishes into the sky—it was a great way to end the night,” Chloe smiles.
