A Rustic and Romantic Wedding in Saanichton, British Columbia

Just after purchasing their first house together, Kyle proposed to Christine in their new backyard, right beside an apple tree. It, therefore, only seemed fitting that the two would hold their nuptials at Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse, an apple orchard in Saanichton, B.C. Christine explains that she chose Sea Cider Farm because of its rustic charm and "one-stop shop" factor - they could hold both the ceremony and reception there. "I wanted to keep the celebratory momentum of the ceremony going right through to cocktails and dinner," she shared.

"The venue was simply beautiful and the tent was so attractive during dinner and speeches," Christine explains. "The setting for the ceremony was exactly what I wanted. Guests were kept out of the sun and looked out at Kyle and I surrounded by the orchard and views of Mount Baker."

Christine wanted a simple, rustic, romantic theme for her wedding day with navy and robin's egg blue accents as well as natural tones to complement the scenery around her venue.

Keeping their rustic theme in mind, Christine and Kyle offered their guests a refreshing signature drink of vodka lemonade and provided homemade strawberry jam as favours.

One of Christine's favourite wedding details were her flowers. "My florist, Tara McHugh, created a bouquet even more beautiful than I had pictured," Christine acknowledged. "It was a soft and rustic arrangement using garden roses, dahlias, dusty miller, amongst others. I received so many compliments on my bouquet."
