Marie-Ève and Alex tied the knot at Vitality Elderberry, an agricultural site near Brome Lake, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. The ceremony was held between rows of elderberry bushes, located at the foot of a mountain, which made for a gorgeous, natural backdrop.
The bride shares: "It was literally breathtaking! The main building’s two patios provide a panoramic view of the elderberry fields and the mountain. The view at sundown made everything even more enchanting. During dinner, we were able to enjoy the view while being caressed by a light summer breeze. The venue is quite large, so we were able to have an indoor bar, plus both patios for the dinner and even a cigar lounge below. In the evening, campfires and torches were lit near the elderberry field so our guests could really enjoy the sunset. It was truly magical!"
Another favourite part of their big day was their first dance to the song “Can’t Help Falling In Love" by Kina Grannis (you may recall her version from the movie Crazy Rich Asians). Marie-Ève explains why: "We chose this song for its softness and simplicity, but also for the lyrics that represent our idea of love. We fell in love quite naturally when we first met in university. It felt so obvious, right from the start, that we were going to be together for the rest of our lives. We quickly became best friends and were inseparable. Everything is just better when we’re together."
