Winter may not be the most popular wedding season, but the cool weather suited Kristen and Blair beautifully. “The temperature was more comfortable for our wedding and the starkness of winter provided a nice palette to build upon with our own colours,” Kristen explains. For their colour combo, Kristen and Blair chose teal and peach—inspired by a photograph of two Eastern bluebirds taken by Kristen’s aunt Susan. “I couldn't get the image out of my head. I loved the dark blue and peach combination of their plumage,” Kristen recalls. Everything from the bride’s bouquet to the table numbers and the bridal party’s attire fit right in with the duo’s colourful vision. But, beautiful details aside, it was the sparkler ceremony exit that made the day all the more memorable for the two. “We ended up with a grey, cold, windy day and the sparklers brought an element of light and festivity that was incredibly special,” the happy pair concludes.
