A Romantic Wedding On Lake Huron

Growing up in a small town, Amber and Sandy had known each other since they were kids. They started dating in high school and have been together ever since.

Sandy is a helicopter pilot, so it was fitting that he chose to propose while the couple was out for a flight. "We flew north to a small island where Sandy’s family has a camp and landed on the frozen lake," Amber recalls. Sandy jumped out of helicopter to 'check out the cabin' then stopped halfway and dropped to one knee requesting Amber's hand in marriage.

The couple's romantic lakeside celebration was held at Amber's parents' house on Lake Huron. They noted that their most cherished moment was the sunset cocktail hour when their 180 guests took a break after dinner and before speeches to walk down to the water and watch the amazing sunset over Lake Huron.
