A Romantic Summer Wedding in Jordan, Ontario

Tara and Steve don't have the stereotypical "love at first sight" story. They met through Tara's sister, Kate, and quickly became friends. This friendship eventually turned into best-friendship, and then, eventually, they fell in love.

"Steve and I have the most beautiful two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Viviana," Tara shares. "She is our life. On September 29, 2012, he woke up early and got her dressed in a onesie he had had made that read 'Mommy will you marry Daddy?' and then they came in and woke me up."

Tara says her wedding day was exactly what she wanted from start to finish, which was a non-traditional, informal celebration. "We wanted to throw a party, and have more of a huge outdoor summer bash feel, but classier. We enjoyed every second and had as much fun as our guests."

Their theme was "rustic romance". Since Tara's favourite colour is pink, they chose a colour palette of light pink and beige -- the perfect complement to their lush, green wine country setting.
