A Romantic Summer Wedding in Elora, Ontario

After eight years of dating, Kyle proposed to Suzanna in the most romantic city in the world: Paris. With a photographer ready to capture their special moment, Kyle had to improvise as the location they chose was no longer available. “We don’t completely remember what was said, but we do remember smiling to the point that our cheek hurt,” Suzanna recalls. “That feeling of joy and love followed us for the rest of our trip. Paris will forever be a magical place.”

For their wedding day, Suzanna and Kyle chose Elora Mill as their ceremony and reception venue. “Finding a space was probably one of the most difficult aspects of the wedding planning process. Somehow we stumbled upon Elora Mill,” Suzanna shares. “It was a little bit more out of the city than what we initially imagined, however, as soon as we arrived there we knew the search was over.”

The intimate feel of the venue made it more romantic for all 140 guests in attendance. And, although the two chose a Friday afternoon for their ceremony, the two were surprised to see how full their outdoor ceremony was with all their closest family and friends. “We knew that some may not be able to make it,” the two recall. “But, we couldn’t wait to say our I do’s and officially get married. We had always dreamed of an outdoor ceremony and we were so grateful to have had a beautiful hot day surrounded by our loved one.”
