Annie and Grant’s wedding took place on a beautiful windy day. The ceremony was held outside under a tent right beside the Ottawa River. “We wanted our wedding to have a laid back ‘seaside’ feel, but also be romantic,” says Annie. The couple chose a colour scheme of navy, ivory and blush to create a subtle nautical vibe. Annie walked down the aisle to live acoustic guitar. “We both love live music and wanted to incorporate this into our day,” shares the bride.
Family was a key theme in the couple’s day as well. “Instead of hiring a limousine, we had our fathers drive the wedding party in large SUVs to photos and the venue,” smiles Annie. The bride’s ‘something borrowed’ was also family-oriented. “The song we walked back down the aisle to was my sister’s wedding song. It was very special to us,” says Annie.
