A simple colour scheme of burgundy, blush pink and sage green was what Kaitlyn and Evan chose to fit their wedding location at Oak Estate Winery. “We wanted to incorporate a palette that didn’t overpower the natural beauty of our venue,” the two share.
The two began their day with a beautiful ceremony in front of their 50 guests. “It was one of the best moments,” the two describe. “We had a lot of input into the ceremony and felt like the whole thing was true to us and honoured our relationship. I’m so happy we made the decision to choose Sondra for our officiant, it really made our day special.” Following their vows, the couple celebrated their day with a reception full of delicious food and a exquisite red velvet cake made by Evan’s mom. “The food was incredible; it exceeded our expectations, and the presentation was lovely. We felt like we didn’t have to worry or do anything but enjoy our time together,” the two smile.
Another highlight of the evening was when the couple took their first twirl as husband and wife to a well-rehearsed choreographed dance. “We picked Our Song by Elton John for our wedding song,” Kaitlyn shares. “It felt like for those few moments that it was just the two of us there and we felt so incredibly connected,” Kaitlyn ends.
