A Romantic Gold and Pink Wedding in Hamilton, Ontario

For Evelyn, a planned visit to Niagara-on-the-Lake with family for wine tasting and dinner proved to be the trip of a lifetime. “I love our engagement story because I absolutely had no idea it was coming,” Evelyn laughs. “I love to know everything and when things are happening and how. Remo was able to pull off an amazing surprise.” It was over dinner when Evelyn received a beautifully packaged sparkling wine, which she was told was a special edition. “The server handed me the box and instructed me to open it up and have a look then pass it around the table. I opened the box to a card from my (now) husband and while reading it, he got down on one knee and proposed,” Evelyn shares.

When it came to their wedding day, Evelyn and Remo chose understated elegant as their theme which featured a romantic colour palette of gold, blush pinks and muted neutrals. “We knew we wanted the room to be light, airy and filled with romance,” Evelyn explains. With 350 of their nearest and dearest in attendance, the two tied the knot at St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church followed by a reception at Liuna Station. “We loved how all the decor worked together from the florals centrepieces to the lush and full floral bar at our head tables. Our vision was achieved and made our day even more perfect.”
