A Romantic Garden Party Wedding in Toronto, Ontario

Childhood sweethearts Tenielle and Jason chose to host their romantic garden party wedding at Tenielle's mother's gorgeous Toronto home -- a fitting location since the couple also became engaged in the backyard, surrounded by family. “The aisle was on top of the pool, which was covered with clear Plexiglass," explains Tenielle. "We laughed that one day we will show our kids how we got married in the deep end of the pool!”

Tenielle was resplendent in a gorgeous bejewelled Jenny Packham gown and matching hairpiece for her ceremony, which she admits was her favourite part of the day. "Standing together under the chuppah with all our closest friends and family beside us was the high point of the day," says Tenielle.

The reception was held under a clear tent in the backyard, which provided a change in the look and feel of the space as the natural lighting changed throughout the evening. The couple chose a soft colour palette accented with flowers, vines, twinkle lights and beautiful lanterns. Guests dined by candlelight, then to add to the outdoor feel of the celebration the couple offered a s’mores station for guests to roast their own marshmallows.
