A celebration filled with culinary delights was exactly what food enthusiasts Brittany and Michael envisioned for their wedding day. “Our first date was a morning trip to the local market to pick up some fresh herbs for Michael’s garden,” Brittany explains. “Naturally, we decided that would be the inspiration for our wedding theme.” For their menu, the couple worked with the chefs at Cutten Fields to design a special meal that would complement their unique centrepieces—fresh herbs placed in lace pots. Each course featured one of the herbs as a main ingredient. For example, a divine lavender and honey crème brûlée was served for dessert. “Our florist Christine blew us away with her attention to detail, too,” Brittany adds. “She blended fresh herbs with beautiful spring flowers. In fact, when Mike got his boutonnière the first thing he did was eat one of the pink peppercorns! It was perfect.”
