A Romantic East Coast Vineyard Wedding in Halifax, Nova Scotia
When it came to wedding details, flowers and plants were top of mind for Hollie and Alex’s celebration. “I love greenery and I wanted to incorporate as much as possible. We used variations of Eucalyptus and Italian Ruscus for the beautiful harvest tables during the reception, as well as to top our seating charts,” Hollie describes. “I am also obsessed with houseplants and thought what better way to share my love of plants than to give succulents for weddings favours, which we gave with printed tags that read ‘let love grow’. Many of our guests have sent me updates on their succulents’ growth and it’s so special to think they are taking care of a memento from our wedding.”
As for their best moment? Hollie and Alex both agree it was their first look at the Tangled Garden, a small teahouse in Wolfville, where the two had their rehearsal dinner. “It’s such a magical place, so we knew instantly it was where we wanted to have our first look,” Hollie shares. “Seeing that genuine smile on Alex’s face when he turned around so was so special.”
