Lewis and Katie got engaged on a bright and beautiful day in June while the couple was out walking their dog along the waterfront. “It was very peaceful and picturesque, we walked out to the end of one of the points and stood there, side by side, holding hands as we admired the view,” Katie recalls. "When Lewis popped the question I instantly broke out into the ugly cry, and of course, said yes,” she adds.
The couple wanted to put a personal touch on their wedding day, and were delighted with the table numbers, centrepieces, vases, lanterns, and wicker balls they created for their celebration. After the reception guests were sent home with homemade strawberry jam favours in memory of Katie’s grandmother, who always made the special treat in the summer.
The couple's two favourite parts of the day were when they released butterflies after their ceremony, and when they departed their ceremony together in a vintage car. “It was so nice to have those moments alone together to really soak in the day and realize how happy we were,” says Katie.
