A Romantic Backyard Wedding in Edmonton

Jana and Ryan's backyard wedding was anything but ordinary. Nearly 200 guests gathered to watch the couple exchange vows at a sprawling private residence in Edmonton.

Jana says one of her favourite moments of the day was at the end of the ceremony, when she and Ryan were introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Krutzfeldt. "We turned to face our guests and I couldn’t believe how lucky we were," Jana remembers. "Being completely surrounded by so many amazing people who were all there to love and support us in the next chapter of our lives was incredible."

The celebration continued in a tented reception space filled with romantic green, ivory, lavender and gold details. "The head table was lined with sheer gold linens and flowers in ivory and lavender—just beautiful," Jana smiles.

Ryan's grandmother baked the couple a Norwegian wedding cake, which was one of their favourite wedding elements. "It had tradition behind it, which gave it more meaning to us than a normal wedding cake," Jana explains.
