After getting engaged at her parents' summer camp, where she spent summers as a girl, Marcia Henderson and her groom Matthew Kirby celebrated a refined rustic wedding filled with personal, DIY details. The pair, who met in high school, were committed from the get-go to working with chiefly local vendors and businesses. Laurentian Lodge was ultimately selected as the location and 80 guests congregated to celebrate at Marcia and Matthew's refined rustic wedding. After the intimate lakeside ceremony, family and friends proceeded to the indoor lodge, which was appropriately decorated with rustic lanterns (which the couple scored at IKEA) and local pine cones. The bride and groom worked tirelessly on several DIY elements, including the wooden place card holders and the wedding stationery. Festivities continued well after sundown, when the bride and groom were treated to a surprise fireworks display as a gift from some of their guests. Family and friends departed the refined rustic wedding with custom beer koozies, the perfect carefree favour to top off a lakeside celebration.
