In 2012, Cara and Paddy tied the knot with an informal celebration. They didn't have a wedding party or even a traditional wedding; rather, they hosted a large party at their favourite pub for their nearest and dearest. For their first anniversary, the couple wanted to take a moment to reflect on their year together and celebrate with a more traditional wedding photo shoot. The majority of the shots were snapped at the Carpet Factory Complex in Toronto's Liberty Village, where Cara and Paddy tied the knot the previous year.
For their shoot, the couple paired a colour palette of soft pinks, purples and creams with whimsical accents like balloons and succulents. They also incorporated their favourite treat -- macarons!
Cara says the shoot really transported her back to her wedding day. “I'm in love with the fact that we choose something that allowed us to really spend the whole day together and focus on each other," she says. "There were no distractions, it was completely about us and what better way is there to celebrate your anniversary?”
