Rebecca and Mathieu both grew up in close-knit families, so they decided to surround their wedding with details that were inspired by loved ones. The couple’s old-fashioned postcard table and a wheelbarrow filled with flowers displayed their parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos, while their colour palette of white, grey and yellow was influenced by Rebecca’s parents. “I knew I wanted our colour scheme to be classy and simple,” Rebecca describes. “My parents’ wedding colours were also yellow and white, so that was a neat touch.” One of Mathieu’s favourite details was the cigar and scotch bar. “We used vintage family ashtrays and some of Mathieu’s cigar box collection pieces to display the cigars,” Rebecca explains. The couple’s party was full of other antique touches such as teacups, lace dresses and 1920’s music that were seamlessly brought together for their chic, sophisticated family affair.
