Stephanie was in the midst of studying for her university exams when she came home to a much-appreciated home-cooked meal from Lennart. Afterwards, Lennart encouraged her to take a break from her studies and go for a walk in Edmonton’s River Valley. As the sun set, he got down on one knee and proposed. For the wedding, the couple opted for a soft, natural colour palate, with pale pink and ivory details giving the day a romantic feel. Their wedding cake was especially unique -- a chocolate puff-wheat confection decorated with lace and flowers! Although Stephanie and Lennart's official wedding song was "Love me Tender" by Norah Jones, the couple felt it was their friend's special acoustic performance of Dire Straits’ "Romeo and Juliet" as Stephanie walked down the isle that meant the most to them.
