Friends since tenth grade, it wasn’t until after graduation that Carla and Angelo grew closer and began dating – and they’ve been inseparable ever since. For their seventh anniversary, the couple celebrated in New York City. After a special brunch with family, the couple went sightseeing atop Rockefeller Center and it was there, with a stunning view of the New York City skyline before them, that Angelo proposed.
A member of the Canadian Armed Forces, Angelo donned his uniform for the big day, while the bride wore a La Sposa gown with gorgeous lace detailing on the back. The couple loved the string quartet that played during their ceremony, setting the stage for the day. “Marry Me” by Train served as Carla and Angelo's wedding song as the lyrics described how they feel about their relationship. “After more than seven years together and being with one another through various stages in our lives, at the end of the day, we still look forward to seeing one another and just being able to spend time with each other regardless of what it is we’re doing. It definitely feels like we’ve always been in that 'honeymoon' stage,” says Carla.
