A Nautical Summer Wedding in Ottawa, Ontario

Rhonda and TJ first met at the University of New Brunswick during frosh week and quickly became an item after running into each other more than a few times at different parties. TJ proposed to his school sweetheart on a 2011 family trip to Barbados during a romantic sunset walk and one year later the two tied the knot in a sunny ceremony in July. “We didn’t really have a theme for our day, but since we were marrying along the Ottawa River we decided on a summery, nautical colour scheme—royal blue, yellow and grey— complemented by sunflowers,” Rhonda shares. Looking back on the day, Rhonda and TJ agree it all seems like such a wonderful blur—but they were both thrilled with all the party details and that all their guests had so much fun celebrating with them. However, TJ admits there is definitely one extra-special moment that he will never forget. “The moment I caught a first glimpse of Rhonda in her dress, that was incredible,” he recalls with a smile.
