Joanne and D'arcy decided that for their wedding day they wanted a very intimate elopement with just the two of them. The couple kept everything very simple - including their attire. "We thought about adding décor and accessorizing my dress a bit more; but realized that we really just wanted our love to shine through on its own against the incredible backdrop," says Joanne.
D'arcy travels all across Canada for work, so he suggested to Joanne that they should pick a place to get married where they've never been before. Joanne, of course, agreed.
"Because we were eloping in a town completely new to us, David [from] and his wife led the day beautifully," Joanne explains. "Not only were we beyond thrilled with David's photos, but he also played a huge role organizing the day for us. He and his wife were also our witnesses! The day couldn’t have happened without them," she adds.
The short ceremony took place in Wateron Park overlooking the gorgeous Rocky Mountains. "Our big kiss was definitely the highlight of the day. Because we had no guests, we weren't too shy about letting the kiss last about as long as the ceremony itself!" Joanne admits.
