Living in downtown Ottawa, Laura and Colin wanted their wedding to reflect their lifestyle. They chose to mix modern yet classic design elements with the historical nature of Ottawa. "Throughout our planning we always kept our family and friends in mind, ensuring we planned a memorable celebration enjoyable for everyone," says Laura. "One of our favourite wedding details was our wedding shoes," Laura exclaims. The pair found "his and hers" Cole Haan shoes that were comfortable and a little less traditional. They fit in perfectly with a non-traditional colour scheme that had pops of bright fuchsia, rich navy, and deep purple.
After their ceremony overlooking the Rideau Canal, the reception at Restaurant Eighteen was "everything we could have hoped for," shares Laura. With memorable toasts, amazing food, and lots of time to mingle and dance with the guests, the couple couldn't have been happier!
