For high-school sweethearts Kelly and Dan, picking a romantic yet contemporary venue was key. “We loved all of the exposed beams, wood finishes, cobblestones and bricks at the Boiler House in the Distillery District,” Kelly describes. “We didn’t even have a particular theme, we just let the venue inspire our modern rustic/vintage vibe.” For their ceremony, the couple invited 140 of their guests to join them outside on the cobblestones. After exchanging their vows, the two ushered their loved ones inside the restaurant for a sit-down dinner and speeches. “Friends and family were cheering us on during our speeches,” Kelly recalls. “All of our guests said it was one of the best parts of the wedding because they don’t normally see us all emotional like that. It was such an amazing experience—we couldn’t have planned a better day.”
