When it came to choosing their wedding theme, Kelsey and David opted for a rustic and approachable celebration, with a touch of modern. “We wanted a high caliber execution for a ‘wow’ factor that incorporated curated details for a polished and stylish feel,” Kelsey shares. “We added a lot of seasonal and wild florals that were a little more loose to suit the location.” To ensure their floral decor matched their atmosphere, Kelsey and her bridesmaids picked wildflowers the day before and made the arrangements themselves.
On their wedding day, Kelsey and David exchanged ‘I dos’ at St. Andrews United Church-the very same church David’s parents were married in during the summer of 1983. Following the ceremony, Kelsey and David chose to host their wedding reception at The Josie Hotel, a ski boutique hotel filled with luxurious furnishings. “The Josie crushed it with the food and hospitality to all 120 of guests,” the newlyweds share.
To kick the night off, Kelsey and David took their first twirl as husband and wife to John Vincent’s rendition of Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You. “We wanted a song that guests of all different ages would recognize and sing along to,” the pair explain. “We also wanted a cover that a modern twist to it and a slow beat to dance to, and it describes how we feel about each other.”
