With group restrictions on the rise due to COVID-19, Jenna and Charles had to work quickly to secure a new venue and keep their guest list to a minimum. “Planning a wedding is stressful enough as is. Planning a wedding during a global pandemic is a whole other level of stress,” Jenna shares. “Our biggest priority was to have our family with us. Our vendors were fantastic and had gone above and beyond during the changes. It was as stressful two weeks, but at the end of the day, we were able to get married surrounded by our immediate friends and family.”
The two tied the knot at Starlit Point, which fit the modern rustic theme they were originally planning for. To complement the fall season, Jenna and Charles incorporated autumnal colours such as navy and gold accents into their decor. And, as a nod to her late grandfather, Jenna asked her florist to include some of the dried roses from his funeral. “It was as great reminder for me. When I looked down, I knew that he was there with us,” Jenna adds.
Looking back, Jenna and Charles wholeheartedly agree that the best moment of the day was their first look. “It was the first time that we really got to be in the moment together, without having to worry about any details,” the two smile. “It was just us soaking in all the love and happiness that led us to this day.”
