A Modern Romantic Wedding in Vancouver, British Columbia

This metropolitan couple met while they both worked on the launch of a swanky Vancouver hotel. Small talk turned to sparks, and a few months later on April Fool's Day they went on their first date. Their connection was no joke and they have been together ever since! When Justin, a bartender, won a cocktail competition - the prize being a trip for two to anywhere in North America - he planned on a Central Park proposal in NYC. A torrential downpour foiled his original idea to bring Sameena to Strawberry Fields, so they took shelter in a nearby mall. Justin tried again to set the mood by bringing Sameena to the Guggenheim museum, but crowds again hindered the proposal. After 12 hours of trying to pop the question, Justin finally had the right place, a romantic dinner – which was originally supposed to be their congratulatory dinner! Their big day went off much more smoothly than the engagement. Their modern romantic wedding had a chic venue and elegant touches. The night was full of fun – from kicking off their first dance with a performance by Justin and other wedding guests, to favours of mini bottles of hot sauce and sabering champagne off of the terrace - this couple sure knows how to throw a party. But the best part? “Walking down the isle and seeing Justin,” says Sameena, “that’s all I needed.”
