A wedding honouring Rebecca’s Chinese heritage and Tudor’s Romanian roots was imperative for these two. “We wanted a celebration that represented our cultures but still reflected us as a couple,” Rebecca explains. As a huge Canadian fashion enthusiast, Rebecca found the perfect way to integrate her love of clothes with Tudor’s Romanian background. “I had my bridesmaids wear one-of-a-kind dresses designed by Romanian-Canadian designer Lucian Matis,” Rebecca happily shares. “Tudor returned the favour and wore a bespoke suit from Hong Kong,” she notes. For dinner, the couple treated their 45 guests to appetizers inspired by Rebecca’s culture. “Our chef took the traditional eight-course Chinese wedding meal and distilled the courses down into canapés—they were brilliant,” Rebecca exclaims. “Everything about our wedding, from the walk down the aisle to our first wedding song and the delicious food, made the day all the more special.”
