For their wedding day Alyssa and Cameron wanted to bring the forest inside. "We chose this theme because Cameron grew up on Vancouver Island in some of the most beautiful rainforests in the world, and I am an environmental professional and spend a large portion of my time trudging through rugged British Columbian landscapes," explains Alyssa. A colour palette of forest greens, natural creams and pale pinks provided an ideal accent for their chiffon-draped, open-walled tent with a view of the lush outdoors. The tent was adorned with burlap bunting, lace, and tree-stump centrepieces.
"As the sun set with the clouds shaded in purples and pinks, we had our first dance against the silhouette of a waterfall and the bordering forest," says Alyssa. "We could not have asked for mother nature to co-operate any more perfectly with us for that magical moment."
Following the sunset, guests opened their s'more wedding favour kits and gathered by the fire pit to roast marshmallows. "The night was priceless," Alyssa concludes.
