With a short and sweet ceremony in mind, Jiwoun and Stephen hosted a romantic afternoon wedding with 60 of their closest friends and family. Inspired by the lush greenery of their chosen venue, the two decorated their special day with elegant white accents and baby’s breath, the bride’s favorite flower. “The weather was perfect, it wasn’t very hot, and the surrounding trees kept the cool winds away,” Jiwoun reminisces. Following their "I dos", the bride and groom honored Jiwoun’s heritage by wearing Korean wedding ensembles and participating in a traditional custom that brings newlywed couples good luck in their new lives together as husband and wife. “The bride and groom hold a special cloth at each end into which guests throw big handfuls of nuts,” Jiwoun explains. “The more we caught, the better luck we would have in the future.”
