A Lovely Art Gallery Wedding in Winnipeg, Manitoba

Travel proved to be the central theme of Anna and John’s art gallery wedding. This theme was fitting as the couple met in Belfast, Northern Ireland. “I was working there when I met John. I eventually moved back to Winnipeg, and for two years our relationship was long-distance,” Anna explains. “After we got engaged we moved to Brisbane, Australia for 18 months.” For their wedding day, the two decided to tie the knot at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, where their 120 guests munched on biscotti embellished with small compasses and chatted at tables adorned with globes of the world. “We even had crosswords on the tables at our art gallery wedding for guests to fill in—the questions were about us and our travels,” Anna explains. “We liked the idea of incorporating travel in a few of the details as it has always been a part of our relationship.”
