A Glamorous Pink Wedding in Ottawa

For Shannon and Mathieu, a chance encounter in the elevator at work was the beginning of a drawn-out courtship. Three years and several false starts later, they finally got together. “I had just returned from Iceland, and Mat had been on a trip to Sri Lanka, so he suggested we get together to share pictures,” Shannon recalls. “As it turned out, Mat didn’t have any pictures—but I was still impressed,” she laughs. Just eight months later Shannon was shopping for a wedding dress for her pink wedding celebration in Ottawa! After deciding on an exquisite Oscar de la Renta ballgown, the rest of the pink wedding details fell into place. The two planned a lush and romantic celebration, and not even the Ottawa Marathon, complete with road closures and other related headaches, could stop them from enjoying their pink wedding fairytale ending.
