A Glamorous Muslim Wedding In Mississauga, Ontario
Nazeema and Jameel's wedding day was filled with elaborate details, so it was only fitting that the couple be whisked away prior to their nikkah (Muslim wedding ceremony) to take photos at a mansion inspired by the Palace of Versailles. “The house was actually built for the owner’s wedding”, Nazeema explains. "Taking pictures in such a grand place started the day with a feeling of complete escape!”
Though this celebration included a host of sophisticated accents and gorgeous jewelled details, Nazeema says she wanted the day to ultimately highlight where she and Jameel came from. “Our wedding was fairly traditional and incorporated customs from our culture and faith. For our wedding theme, we simply wanted decor that was soft, had some glamour, and a little bit of bling!”, says Nazeema. “The most beautiful part of the day was having so many generations – at least five – of family and friends there to celebrate with us.”
