Kym and Andrew met under stressful circumstances. With Kym as a senior nursing officer in need of help with treating an H1N1 outbreak in Vernon, BC, Andrew was her knight in shining armour, arriving from Edmonton as reinforcing army personnel who brought not only an extra set of hands to the situation, but a much needed breath of fresh air to all of the nurses with his funny personality. After a flirty game of 20 questions, the couple hit it off and the rest fell into place.
Following a surprise proposal, Kym and Andrew planned a beautiful rustic wedding with country touches featuring a palette of greys and pinks, commemorating Kym's aunt's fight against breast cancer. Unique details at this country wedding included a bridal party decked out in cowboy boots, a covered wagon, a horse-drawn carriage, a bagpiper, and even a mechanical bull!
