For Cindy and Bowen, inspiration for their special day was found in the simple, rustic elegance of French country décor. The couple invited 150 of their closet friends and family members to the beautiful grounds of the Toronto Botanical Garden where they held their outdoor ceremony and reception. “I wore a beautiful strapless chiffon dress and carried a bouquet of dried lavender, casually wrapped with white ribbons fastened with an antique crystal pin,” Cindy shares. The simplicity and style of their lovely DIY centrepieces was the couple’s favorite DIY detail. “They cost no more than $20,” Cindy confides. “We put dried lavender stalks in mason jars and tied them with twine, which created a rustic look. We lined them up in a row, and they looked so elegant.” A highlight of the couple's day was Bowen's vocal solo as their jazz band played Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are".
