Julie and Kelvin had the same group of friends, but for some reason their paths never crossed prior to their first meeting, which was a group dinner coordinated by their friend Christine. "Christine actually set it up to introduce me to another friend," Julie recalls. "Kelvin caught wind of this and loves awkward situations to he decided to tag along. Long story short, the other friend and myself did not hit it off. But because of that, I got to know Kelvin better, and we eventually became friends, and the rest is history."
The couple's summer wedding was held at the Painted Rock Estate Winery. "We had our first look at the Skaha Bluffs and exchanged our vows privately," Julie shares. "During dinner, we were whisked away for our portrait session and having a moment together to breath and take it all in was the best—also, the views from the edge of the vineyard were amazing!"
The food, in particular the sweets, were an extra-special detail from the couple's reception. "Joy Road Catering was amazing at incorporating all our choices and our guests' dietary restrictions for the night—this includes their amazing cream puffs," Julie says. "Tickleberry Ice Cream made our flavour choices a reality and served up the most amazing ice cream and cotton candy!"
