For Alissa and Kyle, a DIY rustic barn wedding was the perfect theme for their special day. The duo used Alissa’s brother’s barn and filled the space with an array of handmade elements like pennant banners, colourful table cloths and an elaborate spread of pies and sweets to create the ultimate homey atmosphere for their rustic barn wedding. Old photos, a lemonade stand, a typewriter and vintage-inspired soda bottles were also used to obtain the vibe the couple was ultimately after. With 75 guests in attendance at their rustic barn wedding ceremony, the couple exchanged vows and then got then got the party started. “My brother Jeremy DJed the dance and my brother Dave has a bluegrass band, so they played after dinner -- it was perfect,” Alissa says.
