A Country Fair Wedding In Miramichi, New Brunswick

country fair wedding - newlyweds

Sueanne and René met through mutual friends and the pair were almost immediately inseparable; they’ve been that way ever since.

For their wedding day, the couple opted for a country fair theme. Both Sueanne and Rene grew up eagerly anticipating the local exhibition each year so they knew a celebration filled with marquee lights, candy and carousel details would be perfect for their big day.

The couple’s reception featured a host of DIY decor projects. “My father built a kissing booth for our photo booth, René’s father cut out some detailed signs, which he finished with chalkboard paint and my uncle created marquee letters spelling love,” explains Sueanne. The couple’s reception even featured a candy bar, which looked like a vintage general store. It was actually named after René’s late grandfather’s corner store! “René and I are really fortunate to have amazing families who were instrumental in making our theme come to life,” says Sueanne.
