A Country-Chic Wedding In Blackstock, Ontario

Justin and Darcee got engaged at the Toronto Pearson Airport as soon as Darcee flew in from a trip to Thailand. "It was absolutely perfect, completely unexpected and the best arrival home ever," Darcee smiles.

The couple didn’t originally have a specific theme in mind for their wedding, but decided on a country-chic style. "The colours we chose were shades of blue and burgundy, plus the many hues of fall, all accented with gold and lots of sparkle," says Darcee.

They decided to hold their entire wedding at Darcee's family farm. Between the ceremony and tented reception location the couple set up an open air cocktail bar complete with entertainment for guests. "We had different kinds of lawn games set up as well as a Caesar bar, and delicious canapés were passed around," Darcee shares.

Darcee says her wedding decor turned out exactly as she had imagined. "The flowers were incredibly stunning—the arrangements were so full and unique," Darcee smiles. "The wine barrels, slabs of wood, gold sparkles and antique pieces all just seemed to flow effortlessly."

The couple's first dance was to Blake Shelton’s "Mine Would Be You." "We both fell in love with it and agreed the first time we heard it that this was the song for our first dance—simple as that!" Darcee says.
