A Classic, Elegant White Wedding In Toronto

Darius and Leanne met while working together in Tokyo. "We had an immediate connection, and were able to continue the relationship when we both returned to Toronto," Leanne recalls. On the couple's five-year anniversary they were out for a walk in a neighbourhood park. "While we were reflecting on all we had accomplished and talking about future goals, Darius got on one knee to pop the question," Leanne says.

For their wedding, the couple rented an opulent house in Toronto’s Bridle Path neighbourhood for two nights to use as the wedding and reception venue. "The luxe decor perfectly fit our theme of a white wedding and the backyard was ideal for the reception," Leanna says. "We felt like we threw the best family house party!" When Leanne and Darius saw a grand piano in the home, they knew we needed a pianist," Leanne says. "It felt so elegant having him play while people entered the house, at the ceremony and during cocktail hour."

Wanting an elegant and simple wedding, they kept with white decor, enlisting the help of David Vallee and Diana Rincon. "There were white flowers EVERYWHERE," Leanne emphasizes. "We went a little overboard on the flowers but they were exquisitely arranged and at the end of the night we used them as party favours, sending guests home with gorgeous bouquets."

The couple's siblings played key roles at the wedding. "My brother Danny performed the ceremony, with an officiant on hand for the legalities, while Darius’s brothers Vincas and Lukas were groomsmen," Leanne shares. "All the siblings in the family are very close so it made the event a wonderful family celebration."
