A Chic Pink Wedding in Komoka, Ontario

Hilda and Brandon first met while working at a local pharmacy. Though the two had noticed each other, Hilda admits Brandon was always too shy to go up and speak to her. “We always made eye contact and said a polite hello but never had a full conversation,” says Hilda. “I finally took the initiative one day to speak up and ask him a general question and the rest is history.”

Their engagement came after Brandon was accepted into the franchise candidate program he had applied to. Leaving long stemmed roses adorned with clues, Brandon set up an elaborate plan that led Hilda to her bedroom where she found him on one knee, donning a suit and tie. “He told me it was not until that point in his life that he felt worthy enough to be my husband and asked me to marry him,” recalls Hilda. "Of course I cried and said 'Yes!'"

Opting for a late summer outdoor wedding in Komoka, Ontario, the couple accented their elegant celebration with vibrant shades of pink and green. Tradition also played an important role in Hilda and Brandon's wedding, with the two taking part in a Chinese tea ceremony with Hilda’s family.

While Hilda and Brandon admit there were many details from their wedding that they adored (including the yummy homemade cupcakes and candies), it was the floral décor that impressed them the most. “We had our florist arrange tree bouquets that blew us away with the punch of colour,” says Hilda. “Our guests loved them too because we got a ton of compliments and had a few missing centrepieces at the end of the night!”
