It was a double celebration of sorts for Gina and Marc, who chose to shoot their engagement photos and have their wedding ceremony on the same day, and at the same venue. “We had to move our engagement shoot due to the COVID lockdown, but thought it would be sweet to do it on our original wedding date,” Gina explains.
To begin their special day, the two met with Hello Inspira Photography at Mint Room Studios for their engagement session followed by a ceremony, which was decked out in beautiful floral arrangements. “At first we weren’t planning on having decor, but of course my sweet mom and talented bridesmaid, Natalie, insisted I have flower arrangements,” Gina describes. “My mom used white orchids, white and blush roses to create beautiful floral arrangements, my bouquet, boutonnieres and corsages. Natalie used different height cylinder vases with candles inside, lots of tea light candles and fresh greenery. They made the room look so grand to the point where people thought we got married in a banquet hall.”
To cap the night off, the pair enjoyed a dinner reception with eight of their nearest and dearest. “We were lucky enough to have Halton region open up their restaurants the day of our wedding,” the newlyweds recall. “It worked out perfectly as we were able to have a lovely dinner reception with our parents and siblings. We took lots of family pictures and even had our first dance during a beautiful sunset with the gorgeous panoramic waterfront view behind us.”
