A Charming Vintage Wedding In Calgary, Alberta

“When we were planning our wedding, we wanted everything to complement the venue and feel classic so our pictures would be timeless,” Jennifer says of the beautiful summer fete she and her now-husband James threw for 80 of their nearest and dearest. The sweet spot they chose for their day was the beautiful Ranche Restaurant (located inside Fish Creek Provincial Park), a historic property surrounded by gardens and green space. Key decor accents like natural linen, vintage lace, jute and satin ribbon as well as florals in soft shades of blush pink mixed with green made the day look and feel ultra-romantic. Jennifer shares that the entire day was a dream, but one of her favourite moments was when she opened the doors to walk down the aisle and took in the whole room, the people and, most importantly, her handsome groom. “When I first met Jim I knew I had found the man I would spend the rest of my life with,” Jennifer smiles. “I can’t explain it, but I just knew.”
