Charming Rustic Wedding in Collingwood, Ontario - Bride and Groom

Cathy and David met during their first year at McMaster University. "We were both living in Whidden Hall residence," Cathy recalls. "After we got together, we never looked back." On their 13th anniversary, David surprised Cathy with an overnight trip to Cape Cod. After celebrating with a delicious dinner, the couple took a romantic stroll on the beach, where David popped the question.

With its gorgeous views, Cathy and David knew Blue Mountain Resort would be a breathtaking place to exchange vows. "When the opportunity to marry on the mountain presented itself, we could not pass it up!" Cathy says.

The couple wanted to complement their venue by choosing rustic theme with elegant touches. "It blended well with the natural surroundings," Cathy explains. "We love a farm-to-table approach and wanted to keep this rustic charm throughout the day."

During the ceremony, guests enjoyed lemon whip frozen Greek yogurt and raspberry sorbet. "During one of the hottest days of the summer, it was a very delicious way to cool off," Cathy says.

Cathy and David knew they also wanted to treat their guests to their favourite cupcakes as well. "We lived in London, Ontario, for close to 10 years and Razzle Dazzle Cupcakes were a staple in our lives," Cathy smiles. "This is a small bakery in London that makes the best cupcakes we have ever had!"
