An elopement was in the cards for Ashely and Trevor who had to change their wedding date and theme three times due to COVID-19. “Rather than trying to recreate our first elegant wedding theme design, we set out to develop an entirely new and different experience,” the two share. “To uplift our mood, we chose bright colours that were fun and energetic and brought joy into our elopement.”
With 17 of their nearest and dearest, the pair invited guests to a romantic cliffside elopement at Oak Estate Winery. “Standing with my best man, next to the officiant, looking out over my friends and family waiting for my high school crush to begin her walk down the aisle was an experience like no other,” Trevor smiles. Following their ceremony, the two commemorated their day with champagne. “Our favourite moment was sabering the champagne after the ceremony,” Ashley recalls. “It was really fun to do and unexpected for our guests. The photos were amazing and the looks on our faces as the champagne poured across the lawn while the cork flew into the vineyard are some of our absolute favourites from the entire day.”
